Meet the Teacher

My name is Rebecca Moge. I am a mother to two beautiful children and a wife to an amazing husband (also a teacher). I have called Edmonton home since 2007 and really enjoy the summers for all the festivals, provincial parks, and outdoor activities available.
When people asked me, as a little girl, what I wanted to be when I grew up I said “a teacher”. I eventually followed my passion. When I earned my Bachelor of Education (elementary ESL specialization) I immediately set off for Bangkok, Thailand to teach Grade 1 then 3 at an independent academic program. Upon returning to Canada, I lived in Calgary where I taught a Grade1/2 class.
Along with my move to Edmonton came children. I’ve been a stay at home mom for the past number of years, having fun with my kids, and sprinkling learning into our playtime wherever I can. Arts and crafts have been a place where I can let my creative juices flow. I’m always taking advantage of “teachable moments” and love watching and listening to my son teach my daughter things he has learned such as counting by 2’s or how to spell a word by sounding it out.
My decision to start a preschool checks many boxes for me:
I look forward to meeting your child and becoming his/her teacher.

My decision to start a preschool checks many boxes for me:
- Most importantly, it scratches an itch - my yearning to teach
- I can create a program that I wished my children had available to them
- It puts me in front of the cutest kids - I LOVE these ages
- It allows me to be home for my own small sprouts before school and after it is done for the day
I look forward to meeting your child and becoming his/her teacher.
